Maya bit her lip. She saw the laser lights ricocheting off the roof and walls. Searching for him in the crowd, she fell down. Her sight seemed to be blurred and hesitation kissed her forehead as she felt a sharp tingling sensation in her head. She thought she spotted him near the bar sharing drinks with strangers. Suddenly he was gone. She rose slowly and tried to walk back to the lounge. Her legs failed her. She looked down trying to remove her heels but she was barefooted.
