Streets of Sydney

A pinch of poetry with a serving of pictures for you! :)       Tripping along the streets alone, Tiptoeing across Rue de Cremorne*, I passed a church, a breezy boulevard and a bumpy lane Walking through the leafy carpets in jubilation.   The streets of Sydney! Of people, suburbs, stations, unknown music and flowers… Of mountain-peaks, waterfalls, oriflammes and briars. The streets of Sydney!    * Cremorne is a suburb in Sydney          That's all folks!   Please click on the below link to access all my A-Z posts - A - Z Challenge - The Unruled Notebook

Numismatist

Motivated by an Italian who collected Australian coins; my interest for Numismatics began as a competition. Anto, my Italian friend used to collect these 2 dollar coins, specifically. He had a huge collection of other coins too, but at that time, his fascination was confined to this. As an instinctual move, after seeing his passion for these 2 dollar coins, I started collecting them involuntarily . Every time I got coins for change, I checked for 2’s and made sure I saved them in a separate purse. He was completely impressed. :) He was so impressed that he shared some of the doubles he had and also gave me some exotic coins from other countries. That was the starting point for me!!! After that incident, I became a coin collecting maniac. When I used to travel a lot and when I saw people from different countries, all I wanted to ask them was to give me o...

Harbour Viewing

But, it was always beautiful when I visited the harbour, the views were breathtaking.  At the heart of the city, a stunning harbour view reaches the  Sydney's  impressive skyline - Harbour viewing is a labour of love!!! I am sharing some pictures that I treasure of the harbour bridge and some beautiful harbour views here: (Please click on the picture to view the original size) Huge, charming trees hugging the harbour like they were chums!!! No idea what this flag signifies, but I randomly shot this picture from the harbour. I would give up a penthouse suite in Burj Khalifa for this view! If you zoom in, you can see a person soul searching right in the middle of the sea!  One of my favorite places in the world! Yes, that IS the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I never missed a chance to walk here during the weekends. I clicked this picture from a ferry at the Circular Quay. Th...
