Amuse-Bouche

However well-read or well-traveled you are, when you're ensconced in a world of big things, you tend to stop noticing little things around you. The pleasure of witnessing life in tiny things and feeling a sense of marvel at the size of these things makes me a really happy person.

Have you seen Nigella Lawson gulp down an Amuse-bouche and the way she goes ‘mmmmm’?  Have you seen Kylie Kwong savoring a mini-pizza and going ‘mmm Delichussss’? How something so tiny can look so appetizing and taste so amazing is certainly something to ponder about for others but my love for mini-samosas, mini-pizzas and other bite-sized things cannot be undermined. In this post, I will be showing you how crazy I am about tiny things, immaterial of how random they can be. For those who are expecting a gastronomical post, please excuse me. I am yet to try making real Amuse Bouches  J this post is an artsy craftsy one! J

My little Ganesh who is as small as my little finger nail but as powerful as you know it. It is one of my hobbies to collect different sized idols of Lord Ganesh and this one is the tiniest of all J

For all my craft work like quilling, collaging, I use these tiny scissors and tapes. They are so cute, I can’t do without them J

Meet ‘Sticky’, my cute, tiny, ring-finger sized plastic lizard J I carry her with me all the time, not to play pranks on someone but to do away with my fear of lizards.

I have a tiny toys collection too! Have a look at my little tweety bird and my glassy little teddy bear J

Quilling is one of my hobbies and I love to make tiny earrings out of strips of color paper. It is my muse! J

That pretty much sums up my love for amuse-bouches of all kinds! J

* Wiki's Definition of Amuse-Bouche - A small/bite-sized savory item of food served as an appetizer before a meal

  1. Thanks for sharing photos of your tiny collections that matter to you the most. I love the Lord Ganesha. Now, talking about the Amuse-Bouche, where is the wine to go with it?

Yes, in fact it helps me in a way.. although I know where exactly I have kept her in my purse, I still get goose bumps when I open it up.. now, I kind of don't mind the big ones... tiny ones peel off from the ceiling too easily and they are super scared too.. hopefully, my fear will go away soon with sticky around :)

Make Up and Me (Not Me)

They say people who don't know to dance have two left feet. Although, I might have two left feet myself, what is more interesting is I might actually have two left hands. Okay, I understand that's funny but here is why: If you are a girl or a boy or a boy who looks like a girl, you would probably know that it is a thing now to have a makeup blog or vlog or youtube channel in your name. I bumped into this world of cosmetics, beauty blogs and tutorials only a few months ago. For those who don't know about it, let me tell you, it is a crazy, ruthless and unbelievable world. Picture sourced from Google Heard of these? Snail slime masks, Placenta hair masks, Seaweed bathing creams, Microblading.... and endless other such insane stuff. These are insane but quite popular among beauty enthusiasts and they even swear by the benefits of such products. These are otherwise cringe-worthy products in my world. I use gramflour+tumeric face mask, Coconut oil hair mask and  a

Ever Yours, Vincent.

Never in a thousand years did I think I would be obsessed with a late, delusional psycho who was also an exceptional artist and a noteworthy character with a peculiar interest for romance. My affair started around 8 years back; a time when I had started writing and blogging for the first time. I visited this pop-up museum of contemporary art which showcased Vincent Van Gogh’s choicest documentaries. Many of his famous paintings were also on display. That was the day I fell in love, with his art, with the way he loved, with the way he expressed himself before he fell into life’s inevitable trap. The beautiful yellowish hues that dominated his paintings, the sunflowers, the potato eaters and the starry night which comes alive in my dreams every night. Those letters he wrote his brother Theo with care, love and a pinch of attitude. That unconditional brotherly love, that aimless love he showed his friend and mentor Gauguin, that love he showed the random women he saw and paint

I do not usually write a post as personal as this but I  couldn't  stop myself; got to give it to blogadda’s ‘Back in time’ for that. Not that I need an opportunity to wake up one day as a 5 year old or to go back in time; I can do the following even now. It is fact enough however that I am a grown up when I am writing about the things I’d do ‘if’ I were 5 year old. It is silly to be confining this opportunity to just a few things but I have the liberty to be silly being in the shoes of a 5 year old, right? So, without much ado, here goes my list: Image Source - Google Unwinding the reels and reels of tape from a cassette; I have killed some good music, folks! Phil Collins, I am sorry dude! I wish, I so wish I could get hold of one right now *evil grin* Just being - Yes, just being the naughty little kid I am, not trying to please anybody for anything
