Team Writers' Den - The Journey so far

When the going gets tough, the great ones party!!!  We are a bunch of people who live up to these words. When blogadda introduced the Game of blogs, initially I thought it will be something to do with blogging in a different way but never expected it to be something which lets us connect, create and collaborate. It has been an amazing journey so far.  Although we had our ups and downs, we were able to create a story which we all loved reading.  There is so much to tell and so little words, so here is a short video on our journey so far: Team Writers' Den and the Game of Blogs Journey The song in the video is one of my favorite songs from the movie Twilight - A thousand years and I am totally obsessed with it. :) Here is the link to our story so far  - Chasing the Shadow Team Writers' Den Thank you!

Bloggeroos

How total strangers can collaborate and create something worthy is absolutely amazing. It makes me think that human evolution itself is a reflection of collective collaboration of our minds (Darwin might not like it from up there, but it is okay). It can do wonders, I tell you. Blogging has been an integral part of my life. I have so many friends now and we started off by genuinely reading and commenting on each other’s blogs. This amuses me, how we connect, that is. Any blogger for that matter, an introvert, a drama queen, a social networking addict, a passive one, a hyperactive one, a nerdy one of course J all of these characteristics can be fittingly masked by the ingenuity that he/ she is a blogger. When I introduce someone as my blogger friend, I am always beaming with pride ^_^ I met this wonderful bunch of blogger friends, thanks to the internal blog system my ex-employer had. We had an eventful time to say the least. A conversation with one of them or a group chat has ...

[Home and Decor] :: Ideas for a perfect home

I have long been envisioning a place which is soulful and dreamy; a place that would like to call home .   The essentials of my idea of a perfect home are:   Family and friends – They are the soulfulness and the life of every home. They are indeed those elements that make a ‘house’ a ‘sweet home’. Can’t do without’em!                                         Space – I am stuck with this space conundrum every time I enter an under-construction building. There seems to be a gap here. There were homes in earlier days which advocated spatial freedom and now everyone seem to look for compact homes. Think about living in concrete boxes?! I understand the money-factor involved but some with enough and more are unwilling to go for a spacious place too. The heritage houses of so...

The Boomerang - Santa Maria Madre de Dios

Being an Indian, I always thought I was very used to diversity in general but little did I know that I would live with people from all over the world in this little granny flat in Sydney. Ana , a single mother of 2 kids is a Maori from New Zealand, Teresa , her husband Sebastian and their little son from native Australia, Amy and her little son Mion from Japan, Amy’s boyfriend from Cambodia, Landlord Eddy and his Father-in-law who came to be my friend both Chinese, Versha my friend an Indian and a few other fellow Indians and Anto , an Italian. I reckon that sums it up; we were an assorted pack of exotic chocolates in a box.   Picture sourced from Google Maps Read a recap of my awes and gnaws  here I turned around astonished at the use of some strong statement made in some unfathomable language. There he was, Anto, a perfect Italian blend I had thought at the first sight of him. Deep set ocean blue eyes with a twinkle, some freckles on his face showing that...
