A Letter Etched in Time

I am writing a letter about how a mother teaches honesty to her child with the Max Life Insurance i-genius #YoursHonestly activity in association with BlogAdda . Picture Sourced from Google Dear Chotu, This world is a mélange of vices, clichés, traffic jams, strikes and some otherwise wonderful things. It hurts me to say that you are not in the safest of places when you step out alone. We are surrounded by the incessant insecurities of life. It might seem delusional when you grow up to know that you can’t do much to help the world. But, remember, you can always do your little something which, in turn could do a lot of good to the world around you. To begin with, you should know this - How you do anything is how you do everything. Never lose your individuality, for, that is the only real asset you have and will have forever. Don't ever doubt yourself beacause of what others say. The moment you feel like giving up is the time you should be resolved not to give up.  ...

Classic

I am blinking vigorously. My eyes are turned inside out. A wave of claustrophobia closes in on me. I haven’t blogged for so long and as you see, I feel super dramatic about it. Pardon my superficiality, will you? So, what have I been up to? All I was doing during my hiatus was being ‘classic’. An overpowering sense of laziness had me possessed and I am resolute to break free from it. Classic! Would you believe me if I said I wanted to write every day in December 2014 and I ended up writing only on December the first and then, now. Classic! I have been bragging to myself about what a wonderful year it was. Classic! Tried licking off (with my fingers, of course) the leftover pasta sauce from a non-stick pan and I ended up smelling toxins for a week . Classic??? Nay! I have been trying to buy a good folder pouch to hold my coins collection. Yes, I am a numismatist! Pretty Classic huh?! #Brag-o-phobia Too much visual effects buzz me off, I hated the trailer of...

Team Writers' Den - The Journey so far

When the going gets tough, the great ones party!!!  We are a bunch of people who live up to these words. When blogadda introduced the Game of blogs, initially I thought it will be something to do with blogging in a different way but never expected it to be something which lets us connect, create and collaborate. It has been an amazing journey so far.  Although we had our ups and downs, we were able to create a story which we all loved reading.  There is so much to tell and so little words, so here is a short video on our journey so far: Team Writers' Den and the Game of Blogs Journey The song in the video is one of my favorite songs from the movie Twilight - A thousand years and I am totally obsessed with it. :) Here is the link to our story so far  - Chasing the Shadow Team Writers' Den Thank you!

Bloggeroos

How total strangers can collaborate and create something worthy is absolutely amazing. It makes me think that human evolution itself is a reflection of collective collaboration of our minds (Darwin might not like it from up there, but it is okay). It can do wonders, I tell you. Blogging has been an integral part of my life. I have so many friends now and we started off by genuinely reading and commenting on each other’s blogs. This amuses me, how we connect, that is. Any blogger for that matter, an introvert, a drama queen, a social networking addict, a passive one, a hyperactive one, a nerdy one of course J all of these characteristics can be fittingly masked by the ingenuity that he/ she is a blogger. When I introduce someone as my blogger friend, I am always beaming with pride ^_^ I met this wonderful bunch of blogger friends, thanks to the internal blog system my ex-employer had. We had an eventful time to say the least. A conversation with one of them or a group chat has ...

The Boomerang - Cahill Walk - A Perfect Weekday Getaway

Sydney is glorious during spring and I sure made the most of it. On a pleasant day in the spring of 2011, after a quick brunch at home, I headed over to circular Quay to see the Opera House for the umpteenth time. Not that I was bored or something; Opera house always offered something new every time I visited, so with high hopes and some chips to munch on, I marched towards the Burwood station, to hop on to the metro. When I got down at the Circular quay station, I quickly looked for my coffee spot and had my dose of caffeine for that hour. Travelling alone has its own perks, you get to hop in and hop off anytime , anywhere you like, you can drink coffee all the time, you can doze off   in the metro not knowing you missed your stop and the list goes on . Why, wouldn't you? Enticed by the majestic view of the Opera house, again, I fell in love with Sydney . This time around, I wanted to keep walking, all the way to get to see the other side of the view. So,...
